WELCOME!

The Personal Ordinariate of St John the Evangelist was established to allow clergy and communities to be in affiliation with The Progressive Episcopal Church whilst retaining  their complete independence, unique heritage and traditions.   The clergy resident within this Ordinariate are validly ordained and recognised by us as such, but were not necessarily ordained in Apostolic Succession.  Nonetheless, their ordinations and ministry are considered valid.  Religious communities within the Ordinariate maintain their own unique identity as Affiliate Communities while receiving the benefit of support from a larger denomination.  Clergy are resident as Affiliate Clergy.

Both clergy and communities are thus considered as having a Full Communion relationship with The Progressive Episcopal Church.

The Ordinariate is under the jurisdiction of the Rt. Rev. Thurlow B. Weed IV.  The founding document is below.

What does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.    -- Micah 6:8
