1.  Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
You bearers of God’s grace,
His hand will always guide you
The paths of peace to trace.
Salvation lies within us
If we but heed the word
Of Jesus’ loving message
Of peace, the Gospel word.

2.  Stand up, stand up for Jesus
You messengers of peace,
Bid nation pray with nation
And bid all warfare cease.
O God of all Creation,
Help us refrain from strife
And hand on to our children
The banner of new life.

3.  Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
The Gospel call obey.
Bring healing to the nations,
The ways of peace convey.
Help us develop nations
Where no one is oppressed,
And where with peace and plenty
Your children may be blessed.

4.  Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
His Great Commandment heed:
Show kindness to the stranger,
Give strength to those in need;
Defend them from injustice,
Befriend both strong and weak,
Walk humbly forth with God, and
Stand with the least and meek.

5.  Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
His call of peace embrace;
Though tribe and tongue may differ,
In all we see God’s face;
Let all your children gathered
From every creed and clime,
Share with the whole Creation,
The grace of peace sublime!

What does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.    -- Micah 6:8
